राज्य परिवहन महामंडळाच्या सातारा विभागात कोरोनापूर्वी १०५ चालक कम वाहकांची भरती निघाली होती. त्यातील उमेदवार निवडलेही होते. मात्र कोरोना आला अन प्रक्रियेला ब्रेक लागला. कोरोना नियंत्रणात आहे तर सत्तांतर झाले. त्यामुळे नोकरी कधी मिळणार हे कळेना झाले आहे. सातारा विभागात चालक-कम वाहक पदासाठी भरती सुरू झाली होती. ही भरती १०५ पदांसाठी होती; मात्र कोरोनानंतर वरिष्ठ पातळीवरुनच स्थगिती आहे.

अनेकजण खासगी वाहनांवर चालक कोरोनानंतर रखडलेली एसटीतील नोकर भरती पुन्हा सुरू होण्याचं नाव घेत नाही. यामुळे अनेक उमेदवारांच्या संसाराची गाडी अडखळत चालली आहे. होणारी उपासमार टाळण्यासाठी बहुतांश जणांनी मिळेल तेथे खासगी वाहनांवर चालक म्हणून काम करणे पत्करले आहे.
