अकोल्यातून पोलीस भरती संदर्भात मोठी बातमी समोर आलीय. मु्ंबईप्रमाणेच अकोल्यात देखील काल रात्रीपासून मुसळधार पाऊस सुरू आहे. त्यामुळे अकोला पोलीस भरती प्रक्रिया तात्पुरती स्थगित करण्यात आली आहे. या भरती प्रक्रियेत काहिसा बदल झालाय. अकोला पोलीस भरती प्रक्रियेतील मैदानी चाचणी आज ८ जुलै रोजी घेण्यात येणार होती. ती आता ११ जुलै रोजी होणार आहे. आज ८ जुलै रोजी तब्बल १ हजार १५४ महिला उमेदवारांची मैदानावरील शारीरीक चाचणी होणार होती, पावसामुळे ही मैदानी चाचणी रद्द करण्यात आली आहे. त्यामुळे या मैदानी चाचणीसाठी तारीख ११ जुलै ठरली आहे.

• पोलीस शिपाई पदासाठी भरती प्रक्रिया – दरम्यान अकोला पोलीस दलात १९५ पोलीस शिपाई पदासाठी भरती प्रक्रिया मागील १९ जून पासून सुरु झाली होती. पण काल रात्री आणि आज सकाळपासून सुरू असलेल्या पावसामुळे पोलीस मुख्यालय येथील मैदान तसेच वसंत देसाई स्टेडीयम पाणी साचलं आहे. त्यामुळे या मैदानावर शारीरीक चाचणी घेता येणार नाही.
• पोलीस भरतीसाठी नवे वेळापत्रक – आता पुन्हा होणाऱ्या पोलीस भरतीसाठी वेळापत्रक ठरलेले आहे. त्यानुसार भरती प्रक्रिया ११ जुलै रोजी होणार आहे. त्यामुळे महिला उमेदवारांनी ११ जुलै रोजी हजर राहावे, असं आवाहन अकोला पोलिसांच्या स्थानिक गुन्हे शाखेचे प्रमुख शंकर शेळके यांनी केलं आहे. विशेष म्हणजे पावसामुळे सर्व उमेदवारांची तात्पुरती थांबण्याची व्यवस्था अकोला पोलीस लॉन येथे करण्यात आली होती.
