इचलकरंजी येथील नव्याने स्थापन झालेल्या इचलकरंजी महापालिकेसाठी १७४४ पदाचा आकृतिबंध आज मंजूर करण्यात आला. राज्य शासनाच्या नगरविकास विभागाकडून याबाबतचा अध्यादेश जारी करण्यात आला. यामध्ये यापूर्वी मंजूर असलेली ४५९ पदे रद्द करण्यात आली असून २७७ नवीन पदांची निर्मिती करण्यात आली आहे. या आदेशामुळे लवकरच मंजूर झालेल्या पदांची आवश्यकतेनुसार भरती करण्याचा मार्ग मोकळा झाला असून पुढील काळात महापालिकेकडे पुरेसे मनुष्यबळ उपलब्ध होणार आहे.

1. इचलकरंजी नगर परिषदेचे रुपांतर महापालिकेत करण्यात आले. `ड` वर्ग महापालिकेत समावेश करण्यात आला आहे. राज्यातील २८ वी महापालिका म्हणून इचलकरंजीची नोंद झाली आहे. गेल्या सव्वासात महिन्यांपासून या नूतन महापालिकेचे प्रशासकीय कामकाज सुरू आहे. सध्या महापालिकेवर प्रशासक तथा आयुक्त म्हणून सुधाकर देशमुख कामकाज पाहत आहेत. पहिल्या टप्प्यात विविध ३४ संवर्गातील ४३ पदांचा आकृतिबंध मंजूर झाला आहे. तर यापूर्वी नगरपालिकेसाठी १८८३ पदांचा आकृतिबंध मंजूर झाला होता.
2. आता महापालिकेसाठी १७४४ पदांचा नवीन आकृतिबंधाच्या प्रस्तावाचा प्रशासकीय ठराव ४ जानेवारी रोजी केला होता. हा प्रस्ताव मंजुरीसाठी शासनाकडे पाठविण्यात आला होता. अत्यंत कमी कालावधीत शासन पातळीवरून या आकृतिबंधाच्या प्रस्तावास सशर्त मंजुरी देण्यात आली आहे. एकूण ४० विभागांसाठी १७४४ पदांसाठी ही मंजुरी देण्यात आली आहे. सरळसेवा, कंत्राटी आणि पदोन्नती याद्वारे पदांची भरती करण्याचे निर्देश शासनाकडून देण्यात आले आहेत.
3. आस्थापना खर्चाची अट शिथिल – शासनाच्या धोरणानुसार महापालिकेचा आस्थापना खर्च ३५ टक्के असणे आवश्यक आहे; पण नवीन आकृतीबंधानुसार इचलकरंजी महापालिकेचा आस्थापना खर्च ५६.३९ टक्के इतका होणार आहे. मात्र, महापालिकेने याबाबत एक पत्र दिले असून त्यामध्ये विविध कारणे दिली आहे. ही कारणे विचारात घेऊन आस्थापना खर्चाच्या अटीमध्ये शासनाने सूट दिली आहे. तथापि, आस्थापना खर्चावर नियंत्रण राहण्यासाठी पदभरती करताना पदांची आवश्यकता व कारणे महापालिकेला नमूद करावी लागणार आहेत. तशी शासनाची मंजुरी घ्यावी लागणार आहे.
