Nagpur Mayor Selection on 22nd November

Current Mayor Nanda Jichkar duration of 2.6 years ends, now its is turn for welcome a new governor. To select the new governor on 22nd November lottery was declared. From this final Mayor will be select on 22nd November at 11 am at Mahal town hall. For selection on 18th November from 11 to 3 pm applications will be accepted. The new Mayor will be of 53rd Mayor.

In Mahapalika from 151 seats 149 are nagarsevaks. Still 2 seats are vacant. Where as Bhajpa has 106 nagarsevak, Congress has 29 , BSP has 10, Shivsena has 2, Rashtravadi 1 & other 1 nagarsevak.

On Wednesday, on presence of Urban Development Head Secretary Mahisha Mhaiskar Patankar, states 27 municipal corporation’s Mayor posts reservation lottery was declared. The various reservations for the different category person vacant reservation was declared.

From the declared lottery, for Brihanmumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Thane & Nashik will have municipal corporation mayor available from open category. And from Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Bhivandi female positions are reserved. On the occasion of declaration of lottery, there was presence of Bhiran mumbai Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar along with Deputy Mayor & Officer, Urban Development Department Co-Secretary Pandurang Jadhav, Upper Secretary Sachin Sastrabuddhe, Section Officer Nikita Pande & Municipal Corporation Officers was present.

By the hand of Mayor, Co-Secretary Jadhav & other municipal corporation officers announce the reservation for Mayor posts. In this female reservations was declared by the female officers only. It was also discuss regarding the declaration of the lottery, along with declaration of the lottery rules. Also the rules from the year 2007 for schedule category was discussed.
